Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine has made wine in Verona since 1925, when four brothers from Trani in Puglia turned a former convent into a winery. A century later the third generation runs one of the Veneto's most visible houses, pairing Amarone della Valpolicella with deliberately unconventional projects such as Hey French and 11 Minutes. Its San Felice Extra headquarters hosts contemporary art installations and two bookable tasting experiences.

Book this experienceThe Pasqua story starts with a soldier's intuition. Posted to Verona for military service, the first Riccardo Pasqua saw a market for the wines of his native Trani, and sold them through a string of Veronese osterias before calling his three brothers north. In 1925 the family bought a deconsecrated convent in the city and founded Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine. Vineyard purchases followed in the 1940s, the second generation of Carlo, Giorgio and Umberto took over from 1960, and the single-estate Cecilia Beretta label was created in 1980. The company moved into its current San Felice Extra headquarters in 2007, opened Pasqua USA in New York in 2009, and handed day-to-day leadership to the third generation in 2014. Umberto Pasqua remains president, with his sons Riccardo as chief executive and Alessandro leading the American business. The house marked its centenary in 2025.
Amarone della Valpolicella is the backbone: the Famiglia Pasqua and Black Label bottlings, the certified-organic Cascina San Vincenzo line, and Mai Dire Mai, grown in the 23 hectare Montevegro vineyard, a 350 metre hill exposed on all sides that also yields a Valpolicella Superiore and the Fear No Dark Cabernet Sauvignon. White-wine ambitions centre on Monte Calvarina, a volcanic site at around 500 metres in the eastern Soave hills whose Garganega goes into Hey French, a multivintage blend now in its fifth edition. On Campiano, at 600 metres above San Giovanni Ilarione, Pinot Noir is farmed for Pasqua + Smith, a Veneto IGT collaboration with the Washington State winemaker Charles Smith.
The wider range runs from the widely exported PassioneSentimento appassimento wines to icons built on single ideas: 11 Minutes, a Trevenezie IGT rose named for the exact length of its gentle press, its organic sibling Y by 11 Minutes, and Lui, a Cabernet Sauvignon made with part-dried grapes and finished in casks that previously held Cognac. A Puglia IGT range of Primitivo and Fiano closes the circle back to the family's southern roots. Pasqua styles itself the house of the unconventional: it commissions site-specific art installations from the NONE collective and fuse*, published the centenary book Ode al futuro with Rizzoli, and staged its Sips of Art events across Verona, from the Giardino Giusti to the Galleria d'Arte Moderna Achille Forti. The company holds Equalitas sustainability certification alongside ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Visits run from the Verona headquarters on Via Belvedere, where the working cellar shares space with the art collection. Two experiences are offered: the Icons Experience, a 90 minute guided tasting of the flagship wines at 25 euro per person, and the Blend Your Wine Experience, a 90 minute session at 50 euro per person in which guests assemble their own blend. Both are booked online through the winery's booking page, and a Matterport virtual tour covers the estate for anyone who cannot make it to Verona.

Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine's current bottle selection is led by Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. The clearest grape signal comes from Garganega and Glera.
