How we check a deal
A saving only when our records prove it
- We record prices8,428 Italian wines at 31 UK shops, in night runs on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
- We test the old priceA "was" price must appear on two of our checks at least a week apart, in the last 90 days.
- We show the proofEvery saving says how many checks and which dates. No proof, no "was" price.
A "deal" that is not one
A shop sells a wine at £12 all autumn. It raises the price to £18 for five days, then "cuts" it back to £12 for Black Friday.

Before you buy
When is Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Many UK wine shops start their offers earlier: in 2025 Majestic began on 8 November.
Are Black Friday wine deals real?
Some are and some are not. A shop can raise a price before the sale and then cut it back. We show a saving only when our own checks saw the shop charge the full price at least twice, a week or more apart, in the last 90 days, and we measure the saving against that price.
How often do you check the prices?
We read the shops' prices three times a week, and every wine page shows when we last checked each shop's price.
Do you earn money from these links?
Yes. We earn a commission if you buy through these links. Your price does not change, and no shop can pay to change the order of the prices we show.
What does delivery cost?
Each shop sets its own delivery charge. Every offer shows the shop's delivery charge and the order value that makes delivery free, taken from the shop's own delivery page.
Will my wine arrive before Christmas?
That depends on the shop and on where you live. Check the shop's last order date for Christmas before you buy; we add each shop's date to this page once the shop publishes it.
