Cantina Sociale della Valpantena, known simply as Cantina Valpantena, is a growers' cooperative at Quinto di Valpantena. The valley lies east of Verona, towards the Lessini mountains. Local growers founded it in 1958, and it soon took in almost all the valley's grapes. Since 2021 it has been one of the three cellars of Cantine di Verona, a group of more than 500 members farming 1,800 hectares. Amarone, Ripasso and Valpolicella under the Torre del Falasco label are its best-known wines. The cellar shop opens Monday to Saturday.
A group of growers in the Valpantena set up the co-op in 1958. Within a few years nearly every vineyard in the valley was delivering grapes to it. About 250 farms are members today. In 2003 the co-op merged with the Oleificio delle Colline Veronesi, the olive press of the Verona hills. That brought in 110 olive growers and 200 hectares of olive groves. Since then it has made oil as well as wine.
The Valpantena is one of the valleys of the Valpolicella. It starts east of Verona and runs from the edge of the city towards the Lessini mountains. The co-op's own page says the name may come from the Latin Pantheon, the valley of all the gods, and the area has been farmed since antiquity. The cellar stands in the middle of it, halfway between the city and the hills. Its top wines come from the Brolo dei Giusti vineyard in the heart of the valley, which gives a Valpolicella Superiore and an Amarone.
The co-op has grown by joining forces. In 2019 it absorbed Cantina Colli Morenici, a 1959 co-op at Ponti sul Mincio on the Lombardy side of Lake Garda. In 2021 it merged with Cantina di Custoza, founded in 1968 on the moraine hills south of the lake, and the two took the name Cantine di Verona. The members at Valpantena voted it through by 196 votes out of 202. The group now farms 1,800 hectares, about 2,500 football pitches, with more than 500 members, and takes in some 30,000 tonnes of grapes a year. Cantina Valpantena's own share is about 750 hectares, all in the Verona hills.
Most of the wines on this page carry the Torre del Falasco label. The name is a local legend: Falasco was a brigand who roamed the valley in the 1600s and used a small tower at Stallavena as his hideout. The line runs from Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone to Bardolino, Custoza, Soave and Lugana, plus a Corvina and a Garganega sold as Verona IGT. There is a Recioto della Valpolicella called Tesauro, a traditional-method sparkling wine from the Garda DOC and a Lessini Durello brut. The Wine Society's own-label Valpolicella Ripasso is made here too.
Cantine di Verona holds the Equalitas Sustainable Winery certificate, received in 2024, and its growers have followed the Italian farm ministry's SQNPI sustainable-farming scheme since 2021. The wines from the Valpolicella also fall under RRR, the area's own sustainability mark. The co-op is not certified organic as a whole.
There are no tastings or tours to book, but the cellar has a shop. It opens Monday to Saturday, 8:30 to 12:30 and 14:30 to 18:30, and is closed on Sunday. The group runs eight more shops around Verona, Mantua, Bergamo and Varese.

Cantina Sociale della Valpantena's current bottle selection is led by Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. The clearest grape signal comes from Corvina and Corvinone.
