A partner winery makes this Primitivo for the Villa Oppi label from grapes grown in Puglia. The grapes spend 18 days on their skins in oak vats. The wine then ages six months in large oak casks and six more in small American oak barrels.
When a UK shop starts selling it, its price will show here.

Grilled meat
Its tannins soften against the fat and char of grilled meat.
Try with: Grilled sausages, lamb chops
Roasts
A red with good body to match roast meat.
Try with: Roast beef, roast lamb
Matured cheese
Salty, mature cheese calms the tannins and brings out the fruit.
Try with: Aged caciocavallo
A short splash decant softens the first-pour edge and opens the aromatics.
Aim for the cooler end on a warm day; warmer end opens up more aromatics.
