Ripe cherry and strawberry lead, the two fruits on Great Wines Direct's card for this wine. Behind them sit the rose petal and grapefruit zest its merchant sheet describes, with a faint stony edge. The pink colour and the red-fruit register both come from ten hours on Pinot Grigio's coppery skins.
Light and gently off-dry: the merchant scale places it at 3, so there is a clear soft sweetness before the citrus freshness shows up. At 11% it stays easy and quenching rather than rich. Cool fermentation in steel at 18 to 19 degrees keeps everything about fresh fruit.
Short and clean, closing on grapefruit zest and a whisper of that stony note rather than sugar.
An easy, softly sweet summer rosato from the Novità range Cevico makes with winemaker Enrico Salvatori. Vivino drinkers rate the label around 3.5: pleasant rather than profound, which at this price is the brief. Serve it very cold, as the aperitif style it is.
Buying the Blush: two vintages in stock
Great Wines Direct lists both the 2024 and the 2025 at £11.63 under screwcap; the label is also listed by UK independents such as Strictly Wine.
How the Blush scores as a buy
Scored on its £11.63 price, 11% strength, screwcap convenience and its place as the pink, off-dry corner of the Novità range.
Off-dry, pale pink, light at 11% and under a screwcap: about as approachable as Italian wine gets.
Low alcohol, a screwcap and an £11-12 price make it an easy weeknight and picnic pour.
Made for the lighter half of the table: salads, fried seafood, mild spice and the aperitif hour. Rich mains and strong cheese defeat it.
£11.63 buys a branded, screwcap DOC rosato that drinkers rate around 3.5 on Vivino: fair summer value rather than a bargain.
A picnic and barbecue wine, not a statement one; for a celebratory pink, step up to a Franciacorta rosé.
Tank-made, screwcapped and rested only briefly before bottling; it is built to be drunk in the year you buy it.
Scoring is rule-based and deterministic. The model and weightings are documented in our Wine Fit Score methodology.

Perfect Pairings
Dishes that go with this wine
Aperitifs, salads and gentle spice: where it fits
Its own card says chilled as an aperitif or with light dishes. The rows below add the structural logic: soft sweetness against sweet-sour and mild heat, freshness against oil and cream.
Sweet-and-sour dishes and mild spice
Its own soft sweetness sits level with sweet-and-sour sauces, and the low 11% alcohol keeps mild chilli heat from flaring. This is where an off-dry blush beats a bone-dry rosé.
Try with: Sweet and sour prawns · Salt and pepper prawns · mild Thai noodle salad · More pairings →
Fried seafood and light batter
Grapefruit-zest freshness scrubs frying oil from the palate, and the wine's light body never sits heavier than the food.
Try with: Prawn Tempura · calamari · fish goujons · More pairings →
Summer salads and soft cheeses
Fresh acidity lifts creamy mozzarella and tomato, and the strawberry register echoes a salad's sweeter notes.
Try with: Insalata Caprese · goat's cheese salad · panzanella · More pairings →
The aperitif hour
Great Wines Direct's own card says it plainly: chilled as an aperitif or with light dishes. At 11% it opens an evening without shortening it.
Try with: marinated olives · crisps and dips · prosciutto e melone
Big, rich mains and strong cheese
A light off-dry blush disappears next to steak, ragù or blue cheese. For those plates pour a proper red instead, a medium-bodied Chianti, and keep this bottle for the sunshine slots.
Skip with: Ribeye steak · Ragu alla bolognese · Blue cheese · Pairing guide →
Nothing to cellar: drink it cold and young
Tank-made, screwcapped and rested only briefly before bottling, this blush is about fruit purity, not development. Buy for the season, not the cellar.
Best in the years above; holds without falling over either side.
A short splash decant softens the first-pour edge and opens the aromatics.
Tank-made, screwcapped and rested only briefly before bottling; it is built to be drunk in the year you buy it.
£11.63 is the lowest tracked offer for the current vintage and we have no signal of further discounting.

Common Questions
Novità is a brand made by Cevico, the large wine co-operative group from Emilia-Romagna, with Enrico Salvatori as winemaker; its merchant sheet credits the group with over 6,700 hectares of vines. It is a multi-region range rather than a single estate, and this blush comes from the delle Venezie DOC zone.
Off-dry. Strictly Wine's spec sheet places it at 3 on the dryness scale: a clear soft sweetness up front, then fresh citrus. It is sweeter than a Provence-style rosé but nowhere near a dessert wine.
Pinot Grigio grapes have coppery-pink skins. This wine spends about ten hours on those skins before pressing, per the merchant sheet, which tints it pale pink and adds the red-fruit notes. Cool steel fermentation then keeps it fresh.
Ripe cherries and strawberries, with rose petal, grapefruit zest and a hint of minerality on the merchant cards. Light-bodied, gently sweet and fresh at 11%.
Chilled as an aperitif or with light dishes, says its own card. Its soft sweetness also suits sweet-and-sour and mildly spiced plates, fried seafood and summer salads.
